This Batman will never feature magic. It's too grounded and grimdark.

Been hearing about “superhero fatigue” for about a decade now. With No Way Home doing record numbers and The Batman doing an eyepopping take with a three-hour Zodiac riff, both in the wake of theaters slowly getting back on their feet from the pandemic, and Dr. Strange 2 probably going to do big numbers piggybacking…
I like R. Pats Batman better than Bale’s Batman, which I also really liked. He was more of a detective than Bale’s “military Batman in New York”.
I really hope this Batman sequel isn’t another “Batman vs Joker” movie. The Joker’s just been done to death, IMHO. I guess I’m fine with him showing up in Arkham, in a Hannibal Lecter-esque role, like he did in this recent movie, but if they try to make him the primary antagonist again, I’m going to punch a puppy.
I’d be down for a sequel that continues to lean into the detective side of The World’s Greatest Detective. The third act of this movie was fairly stupid, but the first 2/3 was pretty excellent. Let’s not do a Joker story though, shall we? I think the way this world is set up, I’d kinda dig a Hush story.
Russell Crowe never played Spartacus bro. Less drinking before posting.
They flocked to the theater for Spider-Man because there was no alternative and they really wanted to see it spoiler-free.
Is it weird that I’m happier seeing it at home? I can pause it whenever I need to take a bathroom break, plus I can sip some wine while watching it and not have to worry about some random jackass talking or looking at their phone.
Are you high? Or just being a jerk about a typo?
This show is good enough to forgive Shyamalan for some of the crap movies he’s put out.
Yes!
Uhhh no... using Dave C... is a poor example. Watched the Netflix special... yeah... seriously? He’s speaking his truth, and he is entitled to do that, and to heck with the modern day thought police. What has the world came to? I had to explain to my kids how when I was a kid the Christian conservatives were trying to…
“I’m a nice guy.”
“Do you know who I am?”
“I’m brutally honest.”
“You’ll change your mind.”
“Because I can.”
Anything having to do with being an “alpha”
“You’re so sensitive.”
“You’ve just lost a customer.”
“I tell it like it is.”
“Sorry, I can’t help it, I’m a [insert zodiac sign].”
“Don’t give me excuses.”
“I’m just asking…
amazing
It’s already made over $130 million overseas, and that’s before the domestic box office.
I kept my 2015 MBP so I could keep that SD card slot. I literally use that slot daily and I’ve lost 2 card readers already. So I’m VERY excited they brought it back.
“Pro photographers I guess, but that can’t be a ton of market share”
Basically every single camera made in the past ten years that is NOT a high end pro camera uses SD cards. The really expensive cameras use a totally different card format and requires a special reader. You must not own a camera; there are millions of…
A lot of people liked the first one though, so it is a good endorsement. By no means was it one of the best action films ever, but when I rented Venom I thought it was a fun use of that evening.
Even Connie looks less terrified once the Pack reveals itself. They’re dumb as rocks, they don’t have weapons, they run on all fours so they’re slow, and if they bite you (and they will!) you’re not going to turn into a zombie.
The Cleon Clones are so they can still have Lee Pace around in the second half of the first season when a century or so has passed. But I would be genuinely surprised if Pace was still around for a second season.
