Locke & Key was passed on by Fox a few years ago then a 2nd pilot was made for Hulu who passed but it has now been picked up by Netflix. 

There have been rumours that as Apple gears up into being a streaming giant it could have interests in buying Sony pictures (and a few other studios) using it’s massive cash pile. If this happens Spider-man rights return to Marvel.
