YES. The sense of not knowing where things were happening was probably my least-favorite thing about the movie. The scenes on the planet itself were a relief just because it was fairly straightforward to figure out where they all were.

Definitely. "Lassie" made sense at first, but after Scotty and Jaylah became basically crewmates and worked closely together, it started to get annoying. By then it would be rude to just sling the same pet name on her that he'd use for any random young female he'd just met.

I loved Jaylah as a character, and she had great chemistry with the rest of the main cast. So 100% on board with her as a replacement. I hope she can get through the Academy by the time they finish building that new ship :)

Yeah, I had the same issues, it was just a little too much to swallow that these OB GYNs would be so completely clueless about a birth plan. And that an OB GYN would need to read a book by a midwife to learn how to induce labor! And then there was the sitcom-y trope of the water breaking all over the floor in a gush
