My parents have owned a 1994 Intrepid base with the 3.5 in it since it was brand new. It won’t die. Seriously. They drove it until I got my license in 2007. Upgraded it to Eagle leather seats along with autostick. It was my car for about 9 months until I somehow busted the front subframe. No idea how, but it cracked.…
Agreed 100%, and it’s not just because he’s my favorite driver either. He really has a talent for commentary. I can’t wait to hear him in the booth full time one day.
It took me a few years to figure out my Scion. Left it on lowering springs for a while. Put stupid stickers on it and made the door panels plaid. Then had the bright idea a year and a half ago to stance it on BBS wheels with used junk coils. Got rid of that BS last fall for all new coils, SSR wheels, sticky summer…
I see people do this all the time, in both new cars and old. It’s another driving pet peeve of mine. As soon as I see another car coming or think one is coming, and my high beams are on ,they go off ASAP. I know what it’s like to be blinded by headlights, so I don’t want that misfortune on someone else because of me…
The fact that Acuras and Hondas are easy to steal makes me uneasy. My girlfriend and I just picked her up an 01 Integra LS auto and I’m eyeing a security system from Viper for it. I don’t have time to be filling out police reports and whatnot.
I have to agree that the Mazda 2 is one of the most fun cars that are that cheap and small. Before I bought my tC, I looked at and drove a manual 2. My options were slim: red or silver. Incredibly fun car for the money, but I picked up a Scion instead. Still though, a used 2 is very much worth it for those looking for…
As a 240 lover and former owner, I love the Boss kit for the S14s. I also like VH V8s. However, I gotta go CP. I’d say 15k at the most. 240s are great and are becoming harder to find in clean condition, not to mention the aftermarket is still huge, but I can’t justify a 25k price tag on this.
I don’t think aluminum hoods and doors are a bad thing. At least it isn’t on the body itself. I feel like if you bump into a tree or rock, it’d be easier to repair steel than aluminum. Had to do that on two different areas on my 06 TJ. I bent the rear passenger corner up on a tree. I was able to easily bend it back…
I’m fairly certain I’ve seen your Disco around St. Louis somewhere. Love what you’ve done to it!
The worst I ever got a car stuck was when I took my Jeep “officially” off-roading for the first time. I had bought my Jeep in July of 2009 and had really only taken it “off road” (aka in a field) once, so I thought it’d be fun to go help maintain a local trail. We did a few things during the day including clearing…
As a guy who works at a Jaguar retailer in parts, I can promise you this happens more often than you think. The transmission control module is also integrated below the rotary dial and some of the older models with the first versions of them often get stuck, needing an $800 TCM + rotary dial.
I am disappointed in the choice as well. Not because Watkins Glen is a bad track, because it’s one of my favorite road courses but because the other choice they had was Gateway Motorsports Park - a 20 minute or so drive from my house.
I had a red 240 hatch as my first adventure into the S-Chassis world. They look fantastic in red. Yeah mine had some white fenders and a green bumper, but my plan was to redo the whole car red. Didn’t happen. My next hatch was white. I currently am without an S-Chassis personally but will be helping my girlfriend…
Surprised no one has mentioned this year’s Xfinity Race at Daytona: The Powershares QQQ 300. Of course they had to keep saying the entire name throughout the radio and tv broadcasts. Probably the most annoying title of a race to date.
That’s what I’ll do if I end up buying a 2017 86. I’ll find an FR-S bumper and get it painted. Fenders and hood look the same, so the bumper should mount up correctly.
I have experience with this as well. Went out with a couple of friends to hang out and took a photo of our cars together. A former friend of mine who had started out months prior as an officer for the county I live in commented “That sure is a nice Dodge Charger next to your car.” Clearly was my friend’s IS300. So my…
60k? I’m buying an FR-S or BRZ and pocketing the rest of the cash to throw down as a down payment on a house with a nice garage. Renting an apartment blows.
I also love my first gen. I actually didn’t really like them at first. Back in 2008 or so a friend of mine bought one. We always drove around in hers. I didn’t think the car was that special, but it looked good. 2011 came around and I was looking to get out of my Jeep. Low and behold, I came across my 2007 Release…
