Travis: can you explain why you would choose the V12 Vantage? I drove the V8 and wasn't all that impressed with the way it drove, hoping you can offer some more insight into how the V12 trumps the 911/F-type in your estimation.
Can't argue with the upwards trend in FJ40 prices. Already a classic, destined to become more valuable as time goes on.
A 15 dB difference amounts to a greater than 10x reduction in sound.
If I recall correctly, when Car and Driver tested the 458 for its Supercar Shootout, the Ferrari rep told them that it was "ok if you a crash the car". Anything to win, I guess.
What an amazing guy and an amazing video. Thanks so much for sharing!
whats in the U-Haul truck???
Those downshifts....
Will I be able to actually buy this or do I have to just sit and stare at the screen with automotive blue balls (i.e. the typical Audi RS "look how nice this is, but don't touch because you can't have it" song and dance)
Filing a lawsuit and winning a lawsuit are two different things entirely. Unless there is some serious controverting evidence that the public (and I) have yet to hear, it's hard to see how they will find for the plaintiff given all the evidence that the car was being driven recklessly.
Kimi never disappoints, even while being disappointing.
I spy Magnus Walker....admittedly he doesn't really blend into the crowd.
On behalf of Ferrari owners: so your car catches on fire and you expect something in return? Ha! Porsche owners.....
2.5 tons is reason enough.
thanks for posting this....makes me want to quit my day job
I wonder what the pooooooooooooor are doing right now? Wait, no I don't. Aha ha ha ha
And here we go again....
try explaining why you need a go kart so you can be a racing champion to an asian parent....tough sell. brain surgery would be easier by comparison.
This is a valid comparison, perhaps not between the Porsche and the C7, but between the C7 and Corvettes of past generations. I really don't think you could realistically compare the driving experience and refinement of a C6 (or older) Corvette to the 911, which is arguably the most refined sportscar out there.
20 years later and this car looks and performs as if it was a contemporary of the modern generation of supercars...truly timeless.
