I Do It For Miatas, NC Owner

Jesus christ this man is a colossal idiot. It boggles my mind that 40%+ of the voting public (and seemingly 60%+ of the commenters here) think he’s doing a great job.

I feel like the current Mazda line-up is STILL the best driver’s car in each of their segments.  Just down on power for those that want more.

Always wanted the coupe. I remember getting my Dad’s ‘03 Civic serviced at a Honda dealer in 2007 and the coupe of this gen Accord was in the showroom. I myself had a ‘06 Mazda3 at the time and I was a Mazda supremacist but the quality of the interior just blew me away. It was like a luxury car.

I don’t know about smart. He served two tours in Iraq after one or two in Afghanistan, then while he was in prison last year his wife ran off with her ex, sold his truck and welder, buried his grandfather and sold the farm, then gave away his dog. So I don’t know. There’s smart and then there’s I need to know if this

The S40 was a fantastic looking car. I think the C30 was also on the same platform? Quite literally a 2-door Mazda3 coupe?

Horrid interior but I’d still one in a second if I had the space to park an extra car.

When this and the Vibe were on sale, I used to wonder why anyone would buy a Corolla over the Matrix. It STILL looks sharp.

Oh, come on. My 2001 Miata has factory upgraded brakes, chassis bracing, and a limited slip differential, but zero electronic nannies. And I mean no ABS, zero. All in a car made this millennium, that can be had in good condition for less than 5k. Vette is for sure faster, but the Miata is a hell of a drive. The

Exactly . Master shake for the win

That was really not the smartest move on his part, especially that time of year.

He’s referring to people that drive a number.

Uuuuh Mazda owners might disagree with you on that one (626, Mazda 3) let alone BMW owners.

I drove a friend’s ‘10 Fit from LA to Sequoia Nat’l Park and back last year (tons of corners) — It was actually really, really good. Not fast at all and certainly not a handling machine but the steering is nicely communicative and it’s pretty darn spry. I wasn’t unhappy at all.

Kinda surprised the Lexus IS never got mentioned. Small, RWD/AWD, dozens under 8k, really fun to throw around, and will likely run until the end of time since they’re fancy Toyotas.

I’m not against manual Corollas for a fun/eco DD, but “almost Miata power to weight” isn’t exactly impressive.

“Almost miata handling”? Sure.  “Almost Hellcat power to weight”? Yes.  Just saying...

Someone I know recently bought a 2004 or so Lincoln LS V8. The previous owner told him there was a governor on it. So he took it out on a lonely road, hit 140 mph and concluded there was no governor along about the same time he hit a patch of ice. He isn’t ever going to be 100% again and has dead people parts now.

Whats not to like about the 3? They are peppy, fuel efficient and handle fantastically for an economy car

Good luck finding a Mazda3 that has ever seen snow and isn’t a rust bucket.

I saw an HHR SS Panel Van in a parking lot over the holidays, and I started at it in awe for several minutes while my wife got annoyed.

Which will add drag.
