9 people in a sub for 12 hours and there’s no bathroom? Does everyone just wear diapers or something?

It’s just that expecting to pull in billions of dollars per year on software updates sounds more like a kind of revenue extraction than something done in the interest of the consumer.
I hope Rivian offers a downmarket version in the future. I could do without 800hp, the air suspension, and some of the interior niceties for a $45-$50k truck.
Tires, tires, tires. Nothing transforms a car’s driving dynamics like tires. You don’t have to buy super expensive tires to improve ride, handling, noise, traction, etc.
Derp, you’re right. I was thinking Bolt and typed Volt. Good catch.
Solid review. We have a 2018 Leaf we bought new, and we bought it because it just feels like a normal family hatchback that happens to be electric.
Obviously.
I still think Elon’s wealth almost exclusively exists on paper, so I don’t know how useful it is to talk about how wealthy he is. It’s probably enough to say that he’s a rich guy, and leave it at that. It will also never happen, but I would love, one day, to sit down and talk to his financial advisors. Not, like, the…
While the i3 was expensive new, they are GREAT used EVs. Better range than the Gen1 used Leafs flooding the market, and much nicer inside.
I’ve seen a couple of R34 GT-Rs at my local Cars and Coffee (they have Show and Display titles). No entry fee needed.
I don’t like these single-purpose types of battery banks, but I can get behind the ones from Ryobi or EGO that use your drill or lawn mower batteries tied to an inverter. It’s much easier to justify the expense when you can use the batteries for lots of other purposes for more than just camping or power outages.
I do not think it is any stretch of the imagination that today’s hulking pickups would immediately all-but disappear off the road if we hiked up the gas tax.
I had a Street Fighter 2 Arcade 1Up cabinet, and it was pretty underwhelming. Yes, you get all the nostalgia of arcade controls in a package that takes up far less space than the real thing, but a lot gets lost in the low-cost flat pack Arcade 1Ups. The joysticks and buttons aren’t stellar, the wiring is fragile, and…
Neutral:
Everyone I know with a pickup tows something with it fairly regularly. Maybe not every single day, but they do use them for towing, and it’s often for trips well out of town: towing ATVs to the dunes, towing a travel trailer to the mountains, etc.
Who TF is towing anything with a car?
Because automakers would rather complain to the government rather than fork over the $4billion or so to buy their own fabs.
I know, but in his first paragraph, Jason lumped in the efficiency driver aids with the safety aids as ineffective at making you better driver, and I disagreed.
I can say for certain that the efficiency aids in the Insight made me a more smooth and efficient driver than I was before, so vehicle systems like this can…
American tax credits for electric vehicles are, to put it kindly, hot garbage.
I’ve driven a number of cars that attempt to rate your driving on some criteria: safety, efficiency, performance, whatever. And you know what I’ve learned? These practices do not make you a better driver. What they do is train you to drive to fit the idiosyncratic criteria of whatever algorithm is evaluating you, and…
