I run a chatty nerd community so I barraged with emails telling me why games are great.

They are and I can see the mechanics and how that would make an interesting game but that sort of thing just doesn't interest me. I'd rather build up a huge metropolis in Cites 2012, have huge scale robot battle in SupCom or just wander round beating people with a bat in GTA. :D

I've seen reviews posting completion time of 10 - 12 hours for mario 3ds 100% and 22- 30 hours for SR3. That's what confuses me.

I played FPS games a few years back but they've recently gone out of my tastes. I dabbled with Fallout but it wasn't my cup of tea and the rest don't seem that interesting.

It's just my taste in games. A load of people share it but most people think we are lying about it. :p

Whenever I read something about Activison I have to remember that there are people like Gabe Newell in the world and the AAA games industry isn't doomed.

I don't really like any FPS games that are set in the modern day, especially not the popcorn shooters we are forced to play with now a days.

Three reasons.

The driving was really arcade-y and it's been bought up a little. Now It feel a bit like a slower burnout which is quite nice. Crashes are waaay improved too. :D

IGN gave this game a 8.5 for longevity and Mario 3DS a 10.

They did it with a character in SR2. I assume they will do it in 3. :D

Totally different game. GTA is to Saints Row like watching the Tour de France on TV is to a youtube video of someone failing to do a backflip on a bike.
