He lives across the street from the joint Fire/Paramedics/Police building. That’s where he was told to go to get help, seems like a smart decision.

i’m fully supportive of the PD not disclosing this right away. i don’t care what their intent in not doing so was, but for public policy reasons we as a society don’t want to discourage people from seeking help when they need it.

Is there some sort of editorial narrative that hot take artists are getting from this? Are people hunting for some sort of malfeasance here?

Can we officially put this to bed as a non-story now? Jones smokes a legal (but inadvisable) substance, has a bad reaction, stumbles across the street to the police station to get help, and help is provided.

I can see why they didn't consider this to be a police matter.

I think its worth mentioning that he went to the Public Safety building (it contains both the fire station, full of EMTs and the police station). He went there seeking help. Seems like people are making a mountain out of an ant hill.
