DJI is a WRC sponsor...I’m willing to bet it’s one of the official aerial crew drones. I’ve shot that jump before, and there are too many WRC TV cameras there to let that slide if it wasn’t the official drone crew.

You can get write-off and accident insurance for rally in Europe...and I think here in NA too (try renting a rally car...you NEED insurance) but it's prohibitively expensive here in NA.

These can be rebuilt...they are still race cars, and just because its historic racing doesn't mean it isn't a part of their ongoing history. Heck, there are a lot of so-called historic race cars where the only original part is the VIN plate! Race cars go racing...anything else is cruel.

I'm going to defend the Rage Films crew here...I'm fairly sure it wasn't their fault the TV series wasn't completed. There was some serious story-building and scripting issues with the shows...but I don't think that was their doing. In the end I think it just came down to an over-committment to TV without realizing…
