I actually didn’t know public bathrooms could be gender neutral in Sims 3 until fairly recently. I was playing in Midnight Hollow which I bought years ago when it came out and had never really played in and I started seeing small businesses with generic doors instead of the he/she doors. I guess I thought you needed

I’ve been getting back into swimming at my local pool and with the exception of the toilets near the cafe the pool changing/toilets area is gender neutral it’s a ‘family’ type set up just stalls, stalled showers and open shower areas and then some bathroom stalls and a sign up to remind people ‘No nudity outside of

I imagine discomfort might be a more common reason than actual safety fears.

Nothing annoys me more about this in the Sims. I can live with the other bugs and issues, but this makes me rage.

Heyo. I work in a grocery store, and I have to say that most of the reason women's restrooms are filthy is because many women have to bring their children with them when they go places, and when their children go to the bathroom, they go in the women's restroom, and little boys suck at aiming.

My college dorm had gender-neutral bathrooms (I mean, lavatories, not showers etc.) in 1998 and it wasn’t an issue then because each bathroom was one-person. It doesn’t seem like a terribly difficult idea. Sounds like your college has some design problems rather than anything else.

While I was deployed we had a gender neutral restroom trailer that we used. It was a little odd at first, but I quickly tuned it out. We shared the common area, the sinks to wash our hands, and that was it. Stalls had locks and doors that went down to the floor and obscured you completely. Most times you had no idea

“Most places can accommodate the needs of trans and gender neutral folks without having all gender neutral bathrooms.”

Seeing some of these responses is weird for me because when I lived in France it seemed like every bathroom that wasn’t in a school, theater, or some other large open building had gender neutral bathrooms. Probably because I lived in a city and it was just more practical in terms of space, but it didn’t seem that

Yeah my school has gendered bathrooms but a lot of floors also include a single occupant genderless bathroom. A more expensive solution but probably the best one.

My college had genderless bathrooms in the dorms the entire time I was there almost thirty years ago. And this wasn’t some small liberal arts college, it was one of the oldest and wealthiest universities in the U.S. I don’t remember it ever being a big deal, men and women pooping and showering in stalls next to each

I imagine urinals would be a no go in a gender neutral shared bath. It’d be better to make it all stalls after all, at least to provide that much privacy.

The problem is that you can’t convert most public places to single (or apparently they have in NY, I’m in WA) without losing a ton of efficiency in space. What I’m seeing more frequently is Men/Women and an adjacent single.

“I just don’t understand why they’re not all the same door,” Simsie says. Sure, every door can be a bathroom door if you believe, but if the game is going to provide specifically gendered doors, why only have one design for a bathroom door that can be used by all Sims?

Interesting, my college recently reverted most of the genderless bathrooms. People just weren’t comfortable using them in mixed gender company. Eventually, the student council came to the consensus that in an attempt to be inclusive, they inadvertently made most of the bathrooms more difficult to use, and made even

Tumblr’s algorithm is still broken. While my feed is barren as hell, there’s still nudity on the site and some porn is still getting through. It’s facepalming.

I’ll bite. How is the Tumblr fiasco a video game issue?

Honest question: How is Tumbler censorship a video game disappointment?

If not having Waluigi means having Joker, then I'm OK with that 👌

I’m all for broad inclusion in topical discussions, but how exactly is Tumblr banning fucking and thus fucking itself a “video game” disappointment? Disappointing, sure, and still a fresh wound for many, but where’s the connection?
