For some bizarre reason I read that as what about smurf music. And now I kinda wanna talk about that. Like, what is the DEAL with smurf music, amirite?

I think it was Cockney rhyming slang for something unspeakable!

Men II Men just doesn't sound right though. Way too Craigslist-y.

Oh, did not realize she was crouching! Makes even more sense now— I thought she was just sitting, hoping he wouldn't look her direction.

So Norman stared at Norma THE WHOLE TIME she made a turkey pot pie? That would be like two hours of staring.

It was the perfect book for him to choose. And I loved the little detail of Norma saying, "You've been reading a long time" — I imagine Norman had been reading with creepy intensity for ages and ages. Probably without blinking.

Your TV mommy is the best! You should definitely take her advice on all things fashion. Umm….but, y'know…just make sure you set up very clear boundaries with her, okay?

I cracked up at the Arkansas Black line too. Of COURSE Norman would have a favorite weird apple variety, and would sound like a total prissy-pants about it. Freddie Highmore is just 100% inhabiting this character at this point.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking during the kitchen/up the stairs scene— the lighting and the sound and EVERYTHING was just so eerie and perfect, it felt like it ought to be capping off the season! Very excited to see where they can go from here…

Totally. I really was shocked to see that grade and I don't understand the criticism of the beginning being slow or whiplash-inducing… Even when things were SO incredibly tense at the motel, I didn't mind switching over to the hospital scenes—as opposed to times past, when switching to Dylan's storyline could be a bit

You really have to read it— it's kind of Alice in Wonderland-ish in that it doesn't lose anything at all when you read it as an adult. (And then you'll know how you feel about sounding like King Azaz! Dr. Robuttnik was kiiiinda right on the money there…)

Ha! Phantom Tollbooth shout-out! King Azaz was awesome. And I always think the Terrible Trivium is more relevant than ever these days— I'm sure he's had a hand in designing some of those games that are so horribly pointless but it's still totally vital that you keep trying again and again and again, like Crossy Road

you got MAD homebody skillz, yo!

are you me? or are we both just WINNING AT LIFE

you should totally tell that to all the kids all across the land

this comment deserves way more likes, also I hope "oob" becomes a thing

Me too!! Let's hang out, we're cool

Now I'm looking forward to aging, as long as you're right and I lose some fat in my fat.

I didn't watch the second season of True Detective, but the first season certainly had its funny moments — how about "let's make the car a place of silent reflection"? The Rust/Marty dynamic was played for laughs (chuckles, at least) pretty regularly, I thought.
