2022 Tucson is coming in 2 different wheelbases, though I imagine the US and Chinese market are getting the LWB option by default. But still waiting on final verdict.

CVT is my #1 disqualifier for any vehicle. Which is a shame, I did like the Civic and would have considered a CR-V. (no manual; fucked up left foot)

Well, I mean, the S15s are veeeery close to being legal to import into the US, so....

I think it looks awesome, and it’s nice to have a breakout kind of design.

The anxiety-triggering, and buying a car for myself -20 years ago- is why even a “milder” hatch like my Elantra GT N-Line, is actually too much for me.

I already quit this site and Kinja in general over a week ago, since it’s all sorts of fucked up and I hate what we see of what goes on behind the scenes with Herb et al.

Engines are NA 2.5 8AT and 2.5T Smartstream with the wet clutch 8DCT

I understand that, and it seems I used a poor choice in wording. I meant more along the lines of “the work environment changed”, and for obvious reasons..... but, 15 minute edit rule and all.

“Given the boot” seems I used a poor choice of wording, and didn’t quite convey what I meant. Which was more along the lines of “the work environment changed”.

You can be “convinced” to leave if you have a hostile work environment and/or you see the writing on the wall.

So, you want to turn it into Necro-Deadspin?

Wouldn’t have had to do this if Alanis, Kristen, Ballaban, and others hadn’t been given the boot. Also, Rory, given what a lot of us Jalops have seen go down the past few years... not so confident anyone would risk making a full-time move in a risky company like G/O. Looking at YOU, HERB.

I have been rolling around the idea of punting my car down the street with Carvana, but can already tell it’s beginning to cool off as well because my latest appraisal this week was something like $700 less than their initial appraisal of it about a month and a half ago.

I’ll admit to being that guy who is “get off my lawn”, and I HAVE in fact, told kids to get off my actual lawn, when I had one.

The Seltos is a compelling package because it’s a “tweener”, bigger than the Soul and offers AWD the Soul frustratingly does NOT, yet it’s smaller than the Sportage. Still has the same peppy 1.6T DCT. KIA also tends to... just not calibrate the H/K corporate dry DCT as well as Hyundai [for the most part] does.

Reminds me so much of my ‘89 hatch. Granted, there wasn’t much “Seafoam Green” left of the paint job but man was it a fun car.

Yeah no.

I’ve been following these cars for a long time, and I am very anxious and curious to see how they perform when they’re released. -But I have to admit to mostly losing interest when it was confirmed some time ago that the 2.5T models would NOT get AWD. In fact, only the K5 sibling even gets the new 1.6T with AWD (but

They’ll be driving differently and for two different types of buyers.
