Hideous.
Hideous.
I wish more people shouted this from the rooftops. You don’t have to do what you love, for work. In fact it’s probably best if you didn’t since that tends to kill the passion.
Registration is the least of your worries, heh. So long as you can read the VIN number, Michigan will fucking register anything.
Hyundai gives you the option for a HEPA filter for their vehicles. That’s a nice touch.
It also has a much shorter wheelbase

No stick up front, but still a stick in the back. Every other competitor has a rear IRS, and manual option.
I did a little further digging on my own, and apparently that modified platform is referred to as Y7. Shared with the Sonata and such, and all capable of AWD setups.
H/K information is difficult sometimes to dig up, because the dearth of indepth or publicly released/leaked data is sometimes scarce. I engage in…
Wouldn’t be caught dead in an Equinox :) Plus, I’ve already driven GM’s corporate 3.6 and the 2.0T so I know how they drive in a few different vehicles.
I had an E36 328i sedan, so I know the feeling. That car was one of my favorites I’ve ever owned, and the song of that motor... oh man...
I agree. And I doubt I’ll have too many more ICE vehicles before I go full electric myself (I’m not into PHEV, hybrid, etc. It’s either gas OR full electric). Right now there isn’t a full-electric I’m interested in buying, but I’m also in a living situation that won’t easily accommodate a charger.
I’m fairly confident electric turbochargers will resolve that. I appreciate the build of an NA engine, but I prefer the powerband of a turbo. I have only had a handful of forced induction engines (1.6T in my current Hyundais, and Supercharged 3800 in my old W-body back in the day, and briefly, an XR4Ti) and strongly…
Most people who go “WTF why are people waiting to get a Telluride?” are most likely those who have never seen one in person, and/or sat in one, much less drove it.
WTF are you talking about? They are on a completely new platform.
I’m on my 3rd Hyundai, purchased brand-new. And I’m gearing up for my 4th (Kona N or Stinger, depends)
I just posted this similar reply to someone, then scrolled down and saw this post :)
H/K has had the value/inexpensive market pretty cornered for a while now.
Despite their MSRPs slowly rising to make them more on-par with mainstream brands, Hyundai-KIA always had the majority of this market and continue to keep it whilst improving their overall vehicle lineup, all while retaining that “magic bullet” 10/100K powertrain warranty, and still-pretty-generous 5/60K…
I don’t doubt it, I just hate how Mazda’s trim levels are. I would want nothing shy of a Grand Touring Reserve, and I STILL would end up missing the features of the Signature and feel buyer’s remorse.
I prefer hatchbacks, but I have “settled” with a sedan before. Except now that the Stinger is a thing (for the time being)... even though the K5 GT looks good and has more power than the base Stinger and costs less new, it’s driving the wrong wheels. So I would actually, probably get a 1-2 year old gently used Stinger…
That’s fair, but I am comparing it to my current Elantra GT which has pretty darn good visibility all around
