That’s a marked improvement. I would rejigger the lower bumper a bit (I know it’s a quick photochop, and I am not really a fan of how it looks in white), but otherwise, this is much better.

They probably got the closest approximation, but unless they have deep pockets (or live at home, whatever). I assure you they do not have the sideskirts, N spoiler, or the muffler/tips; those of us in the USA have few options in getting official N parts for the car.
This. I’ve got a veritable hard-on for my first Hyundai N car, when the Kona N comes out. The Veloster doesn’t fit my needs, even with the new DCT option, Kona is more practical and will be the first AWD N. So my still pretty-new Elantra GT N-Line will probably get kicked down the street after barely a year of…
Yeah, Hyundai caps their AEB at 50 mph.
I’m aware.
First Impulse says “yes”. Further detail (auto, non-turbo) says “no”.
A Go Bag is definitely something to keep on hand. I had one prepped at my old place, when the fires encroached on my apartment. Almost had to evacuate.
I think it’s far too early to be saying stuff like this.
“Reliability” for me seems to be a crapshoot, no matter the price, age, type of vehicle, they’ve all seemed to have one issue or another at some point. Though at the same time, I think the longest I have ever owned any one vehicle has been about 3 years, and in about 25 years of licensed driving , I believe I have…
So what makes Back Market any better or different than Swappa, which has been around a while and is pretty well vetted?

I remember driving prototypes of the original Envision. It was nicer than I expected out of Buick, but I believe it had the 2.5. It was pretty un-peppy.
Echoing many others: This is the first Acura I’ve actually taken notice of, in a long while. I’m not a Honda/Acura guy; in fact, I was a HUGE Nissan fanboy back in the early-mid 00s (could quote engine specs and platforms for nearly all their vehicles globally, fever dreams of Red Top SR20DET swaps, etc).... but this…
Up to 70% torque to the rear, was something good to read. Not 40%. Not 50%. Not 25%. 70%.
I was actually kind of expecting people would counter it by posting the shitmobile they “saved” and then a “look at it now” restored condition.
I think part of the difference is that something like the Kona N should MSRP between 30-32K which is more attainable/accessible, but at the same time, it’s also a trim of a mass produced vehicle. Not it’s own unique car like the Supra (Z4 aside).
This sort of thing is also why “Launch Edition” vehicles fail to interest me. Mixing up the options list, a special color, and being one of the first owners of a new vehicle is nice and all, but not enough to make me bust down the doors to buy. At least, not when I feel confident the next model year won’t have fixed…
I’m in agreement. On one hand, I understand that it brings the model nameplate into line with the rest of the world ... but on the other hand, alphanumerics are just... yeah we’re all sick of it. And they are already doing alphabet soup with Genesis anyway.
This was in the rumor mill a long time ago, and Korean Car Blog was calling it for the longest time.
New logo is supposed to get slapped on the cars this Fall
