How many of these “we lost but not by as much as we thought” victories are there now?
How many of these “we lost but not by as much as we thought” victories are there now?
For such a popular genre, there really isn’t much to choose from when it comes to quality city-building games these…
From the the actual survey takers full results.
“Bad behavior” is not a legal term, it’s a subjective one
Define “bad behavior”. Go ahead.
If it comes to Civil War 2.0, the wrong people will win.
I live in a really brown neighborhood and am white. I am also one of the people who makes the most money in my neighborhood (if I had to guess).
“White people hoard their wealth. “
That is a fallacy. If you do not earn enough to afford a mortgage, then you do not have an expense that is likely taking up 40% of your earnings. If I do, then I would only be left with 10% of my earnings for other things that are also necessities like food, water, electricity, etc.
Total amount does matter. Easy…
Ah, I forgot Bezos surpassed Gates last fall. Whoops. Also, Oprah is not the richest black woman either. That title belongs to Folorunso Alakija.
The point is, cherry picking and massaging facts is bullshit as you rightly pointed out about my scenario and what I am pointing out about this article.
I am glad we are in…
This is absolutely correct. I am not a trumper, so I am not going to use “Fake News” as a catch-all here, but this is some clickbait fact massaging bullshit and I don’t like it. It cheapens the source of the article and reduces the credibility, which is another reason people should be concerned here.
Anybody can…
You can’t. HamNo does. Reality be damned!
- It’s an unfair comparison because I make more money and much of my wealth isn’t liquid so I would have to give a lot more than someone who has 1/5th of my income and would have more trouble giving it as it’s tied up in investments.
Except I already made it clear that the wealth in question is not liquid. Equity in a house, long term financial instruments, etc. aren’t easily divided into something useful for a charity. A more useful metric would be charitable giving as a percentage of income.
Yep. I’m in philanthropy, and have been for 15 years. You can’t just toss these numbers up unsubstantiated.
Splinter and the Root should just combine and call it “Why We Hate White People”. You can ask many questions that frame the responses to your narrative. I’d like to see the list of questions, where they got their information to form this chart.
But if the difference is so great, then even a relatively small amount of charity will show as a disproportionate amount of their wealth. This is especially true if “wealth” is calculated to be total assets, including home ownership and financial instruments, or if debt is credited against wealth.
That’s actually brilliant cherry picking. Of almost global warming denier levels.
Knowing my parents, they give to their church... which then spends $15 million on a new church.
Charity as a share of family wealth? Isn’t that a misleading metric due to what you wrote in the first paragraph?
