NYC has data available for location of collisions and fault. Something like 66% of all collisions between vehicles and pedestrians are with the pedestrians in crosswalks, and 75% of the time the fault is 50% or more on the driver.

I’ll catch heat for this, no doubt, but I’d definitely be in favor of only allowing trucks that are legit commercial vehicles in city centers--like construction and the like--not Bob driving his Ford Super Duty 350 dually to his office job.

We really should be talking about why we would need larger vehicles like cars and pick-ups in crowded city centers in the first place. That’s called changing time zones, which is stupid. Standard time is the correct time, Daylight time the modified time. The only way this works if is it’s permanent standard time.
