I get that, but in my experience a lot of owners of German cars are meticulous about keeping records probably for this reason (at least with BMWs anyway). I could see why one might avoid one where the owner didn’t bother to keep these kinds of records, I suppose. I might be inclined to take the risk at the right

What’s wrong with German? I drove my 1st E90 sedan to 200k (I was a harsh owner, I might add) and it ran fine up until something electrical went due to a leaking windshield I hesitated to fix for some stupid reason. I was going to fix it, but life has a way of getting in the way and it will be going to Cars for Kids

All sarcasm aside, snow tires are no joke. AWD doesn’t give you help cornering or braking in icy conditions; snow tires do. Legitimately they make it feel like I’m driving on dry, or near-dry pavement all winter long. It’s life changing and if you bother to go that route, saves you the added cost of AWD (and not just

I hate you

It’s a shame your parents remembered to remove you from the car...

Since you are focussed on powerplants, let me tell you this. Over 60% of power generation in US is from fossil fuels. So even if your EV is not polluting while its driven, its pollution was already released in some distant power plant.

It’s an old, hard-to-kill trope like a lot of the Boomer Safety Spaces are. They need these as they’re dying off so they can continue on without guilt for the damage they’ve done to our world and left for the future generations to clean up, but not without their dogged resistance until the bitter end. That way they

2nd Gear: VAGs reluctance to go fully electric unless forced to is probably due to them having trouble figuring out how to make unreliable electric motors since a big part of their brand identity is the gamble of being stuck on the side of the road.

I think my point was pretty well expressed in my first comment. People will pay more for flashy, less functional doors, but not for run-of-the-mill normy doors, so if BMW (and/or Alpina) are going to supe up a fucking minivan, then why change out the handy sliders for normy doors?

Yes they do, but what’s your point?

Yes yes, but labeling it an “unregistered rifle” is more fear-inducing, so garners more clicks to the website generating more advertising pennies for the publisher. What does John Biggs care if it’s misinformation and fear-mongering if it gets him a larger commission check?

A particularly good point is that sliding side doors are infinitely more utilitarian and useful than swing doors, so unless those back doors do something uselessly cool simply to show off the buyer’s wealth, like swing up ala the Model X, fuck BMW (and Alpina) for not putting sliders on there.

The saddest part is I can’t be certain this is fake...

It does, but it doesn’t. You’ll still be incurring registration fees, plus sales and excise taxes on every car you lease each year. Not to mention the constant inquiries into your credit report as they need to initiate a new lease every 4 months.

You’re probably never going to see this, but for anyone else reading your comment here goes:

The US doesn’t do it that way because they aren’t foolish enough to condense their defenses into 1 easily destroyed point. They separate the guns from the missiles operationally so they won’t interfere with one another, but also strategically so if 1 gets hit the other has a good chance of still functioning. Russians

It took me 6.5 years, but I finally found this little gem of an article, and I see that you’re still relatively active around here (at least you were within the month, anyway) so I’ll give you the answer you were looking for: Sort of. The entire Navy calls them “R2D2 with a Hard-on”.

For the first time in my smartphone-owning life I’m seriously considering an iPhone. Not because the 12 is special in any way, but because Google has clusterf**ked Play Music and tried to strong arm me into using YouTube music, which is a mess of an app and an obvious money-grab since the only way to actually use it

Yes, but probably only because of the possibility of cross-contamination by being sliced on the same equipment that contaminated meat is.

My sister got my mother using a trackball, which would be fine except I despise using trackballs and my mother relies heavily on me for her IT support.
