You are responsible for your own safety, and you are aware that trucks have bad visibility, so yes it is your responsibility to give them wide berth. It isn’t the truck driver’s fault physics work the way they do, they can do everything perfectly and safely and you can still stupidly drive into them from an angle

Because he felt the front of his truck had something wrong with it? I know I would feel it if a go kart were stuck to the front of my car while driving even if I couldn’t see it, so a truck with a Civic stuck to it would also feel it there. That doesn’t mean he knew what it was, just that he knew something was there.

Those trucks have very big blind spots directly in front of them which is why a lot of them now have mirrors at the front edge of the hood to see what’s directly in front (but a lot still don’t have those yet). It’s exactly why the Civic driving moron should not have tried cutting the truck off. I’m sure the truck driv

The Avalanche midgate was a disaster because once you opened it the first time it never sealed correctly again and leaked water into the cab. If that truck still had floors, you know the owner(s) never opened the midgate before it went to the yard.

I think someone just rested a Galaxy S21+ prototype on the dash.

Open letter to all manufacturers: Stop with the fixed screens popping up out of the dash like they were an afterthought already! You’ve had long enough to shit out all those designs, it’s time to start incorporating them into the dash elegantly. Also until self driving cars are a real thing: as few touch-only controls

This is the updated version of the one I bought for $70 more about 6 months ago so this is a fantastic deal on a good tv. It isn’t going to blow you away, but it’s a great size, has a very good picture, lots of settings to help with soap opera effect, and it just works.  What else can you ask for at this price?

Neutral: Yes, and even back in the early 90's when I got it we already knew that the earlier kids start driving motorized vehicles, the better they are at driving. This new trend of waiting until your in your 30's is worrying since people were already bad enough at driving even after getting their license at 16.

Yeah, if I had 5¢ every time someone thought they were the authority on good driving...

What if it is a test so rigorous that you can’t pass? You’re still ok with other people driving around at 150 while you putter around at 65?

When you define “calibrate” as “turned on from the off state” then you can say you calibrated it every time you turn it on.

smelled alcoholis a police catch-all and should never be considered fact without an accompanying breathalyzer result.

My reasons for wanting to move to Europe keep piling up.

Set your router to use AdGuard as the preferred and backup DNS and you don’t have to see a single Facebook ad ever (until you’re not on your home network, anyway). I’ve included the DNS addresses below:

Can confirm. Driving in flip flops should be illegal.

...is it actually illegal to drive with your interior dome light on?

Since the same person drove both cars to come up with those numbers, none of those things would have mattered, but what could matter, and I think could be argued was the deciding factor, is Pobst’s better familiarity with the Porsche.

I remember specifically my first encounter with an overheight vehicle situation. Luckily mine was a conversion van in a BK drive through and the owners of said BK had the forethought to put a warning sign that was also exactly the same height of the roof overhang I would have crashed into had I proceeded any further

This was the experience on the 2nd gens as well which is why I’ve avoided August like the plague since.

Here ya go. There are smart deadbolts with fobs, but as far as I can tell none from companies I know and trust (as far as you can these days, anyway).
