My first car was a 1979 Ford Granada in which I swapped out the 255 I6 for a 302, and for which I paid the princely sum of 475 American dollars.

A 1978 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Holiday Coupe. I loved that car.

You’re not wrong.

I’d love it if it weren’t for the only-half-committed-to whale tail ruining the lines. what was Toyota thinking with that stupidity?

Their half-commitment to the whale tail and the door garnish kill this look for me. Especially after seeing how the not-a-whale-tail ruins the look when someone puts a Mk4 style wing on it.

The 2019 Fusion Hybrid rental car I drove last week was absolutely seamless. They’ve come a long way. There was no indication the engine was starting or stopping at all except for the tiniest exhaust note if I punched it. I had to make sure the start/stop option was even enabled it was so smooth.

In about 2 weeks I’m about to start a 71 mile commute each way. Divorce and a job change have come together to bring this abomination upon me.  I’m secretly holding out hope for a counter offer from my current employer, although the benefits are one of the bigger reasons I’m taking the other job.

No. Cameras are not a good idea, just like drive-by-wire is not a good idea. If the electrical system is compromised, and the displays stopped working, today’s already horrible drivers would just go into full blown panic mode instead of thinking to turn their heads to see if the lane is clear for merging.

Well, before car loans started lasting 8+ years, 10 years was a long time to let life start gobbling up what budget you did have for a car payment.

tulleytwo says: Buyer beware with this stuff, the quality and condition can really vary. I recently purchased some Hue bulbs from Amazon warehouse and received something completely different than what I ordered. It was also disgustingly filthy.

Kids are adventurous, and don’t know the full extent of consequences, so punishing them for this, especially harshly, is bullshit. Sitting them down and explaining that it could have ended in tragedy? Sure, keeping it PG, but yeah. Throwing the book at them and grounding them for life? Bad parenting. Period.

So this is why I can't get One Punch to drop the damned One Pump Chump?

So it’s a halo...with plexiglas wrapped around it to make it a “windscreen”? Still a halo.

The “Mystery” gearbox is a simple carrier to keep the drive shafts all moving with both axles instead of staying put and getting crushed if one axle moves and the other doesn’t.

11 1/2 years ago I had a compound fracture of my femur, cost me about $500 in co-pays and whatnot the day of and few days after, and all the consultation visits. Then about 2 weeks after the surgery, I started getting bills in the mail from every department in the hospital it seemed like. They totaled about $5,600,

I’ve recently stopped drinking coffee and have noticed a dramatic uptick in instances where I misunderstand someone’s post completely.  I’m going back to coffee, this sucks.

I tried to find something scientific to support or refute this, but there just isn’t any data.  Do you have some data to support this claim?  Other than “it seems like it makes sense”?

Boy, reading some of the responses makes me happy to live where I do. When I called on an extremely, barely-able-to-speak drunk dude trying to start his car in the parking lot of a local Mexican restaurant the dispatcher was awesome. She took my info real quick, but was more interested in what I could tell her about

Using the math the Republicans tried to scare me with concerning MFA, it turns out my increased tax liability (they claimed an 18% increase) would actually be less than my out-of-pocket healthcare costs currently are (family of 5, one handicapped). Everyone except the young and perfectly healthy would most likely see

If you’re Republican it means you’ll immediately ignore everything else and laser focus on the part about how your tax liability will go up “automatically”.
