This. Since time immemorial.
This. Since time immemorial.
BAM! In a nutshell.
Right? I thought it was gonna be like what I thought Wicker Park was going to be, and then it did what Wicker Park did, which was totally not be what the Wicker Park trailer advertised it was going to be.
This makes me more interested in seeing it; I hated the book, it was just awful, but if the movie leans into how ridiculous the whole thing is, then I could get behind it.
The idea of seeing Lively finally doing full-on camp makes me happy. Can she please redo Age of Adeline and Savages in full silliness please please?
I went by myself yesterday afternoon and had a grand ole time, though I wished i had like-minded company as the rest of the theater didn’t quite “get it” and I was the crazy lady laughing alone.
When I wemt to see it there was a lot of laughter from the audience, which you just don’t expect when watching this genre. I liked it, because the prospect of taking Anna Kendricks character seriously was just too much for me. I’m glad they leaned into how ridiculous some things were.
Charles Koch is the wealthiest person in Wichita so he's going to have to pick somewhere else to live.
I’m watching through The Santa Clarita Diet again, which is definitely my favourite thing to come out of Netflix/Amazon Prime bar The Man In The High Castle. It’s basically a sitcom set in this hyper version of the American Dream where instead of there being a zombie apocalypse after the wife becomes a zombie life…

Problem is, that even in the #MeToo era, when a victim comes out publicly, most of the time it is the victim that suffers. Because one person is staring down the Goliath of a system designed to protect itself. From HR, whose goal is to protect the company, not its employers, to one’s peers who are inclined to…
Remember “Mad Men”? Ad agencies haven’t changed much since then: men still have virtually all the positions of power and women are support staff. There aren’t clear chains of command and drinking, hooking up and relationships are common, mainly due to the long hours and lots of travel. Behavior that would get you…
I love that Lily Tomlin reacted exactly like Lily Tomlin should react.
I was terrified that your tale was going to devolve into a obnoxious, diva-ish freak out by Tomlin, thus shattering one of the few treasures we have left in our entertainment world.
And here I thought my husband was the last person on earth with an active Discover account.
