They don’t consider him to be white. Or at least not *white* white, if you know what I mean. After it happened, there were plenty of tweets honing in on the shooter’s last name (Cruz) and speculating he was an illegal immigrant (false) or the son of a Dreamer (false).
Mulaney as a comedian (and a person) IS better IMO. But Mulaney’s 2014/15 sitcom was cringingly terrible. :/
