1) White dudes tonight are like that clapping scene from Birdemic:

So, my little patio herb garden has been doing really well, and I had to learn how to handle some buggies, which I did with some good castile soap and water which was nice! woohoo! So, fewer bugs today, anyway and I’m keeping track.

MY CREDIT IS FIXED AND I HAVE AN APARTMENT.

Craft Thread!

Just keep telling yourself that everyone gets old (if they’re lucky) and this is something everyone over 40 deals with eventually. As far as people not liking your dating habits, fuck them, you don’t need that negative energy.

So the boyfriend and I broke up after almost four years. The tl;dr version is that he wants to move out of th city and focus on his art (i.e. not have any sort of day job, even though he has no alternative source of income and my salary covers 90 per cent of his living expenses) but I have a demanding career that I

Oh, hey, I’m turning 49 this year. Ageism is real. I would say that you should deal with it by giving zero fucks, but it’s not that easy.

WEEKLY ACHIEVEMENT THREAD!
Go on, brag on your awesome self. What happened this week that you’re particularly proud of?

Ageism thread. I’m 45...never married, no kids. I date younger guys and I’m newly unemployed and going through some really hard times. I seem to be experiencing some serious ageism with companies/hiring and with people who have an issue with me dating guys in their 20’s. I’m so frustrated and hate feeling shamed. Not

I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think she acted inappropriately. Keep in mind she had to listen to every single victim impact statement, which must have been quite difficult.

Goddammit! When my boyfriend and I go to Vegas—which isn’t all that often, given we’re on the opposite side of the country—we often eat at Wynn restaurants because they have the best vegan options on the Strip. On our last visit, I think half our meals (lunch and dinner, as we ate breakfast in our room at the

Our local march in the Tidewater had 700 participants last year and over 2000 yesterday! Between the lovely weather and a bunch of students from the local college who went to the big march last year, but stayed for the local one this time, we had a great turnout!

I’ve been pregnant and morning sick for months and my anti trump activism, though not sentiments, has really suffered. It’s hard to have to sit on the sidelines when you care so much. Good news though, I did make it to my local march today and we had 1200 people show. Which is way more than the leftist groups here in

I unfortunately had to work today. Where I smashed my right pointer finger with a hammer. On the plus side, when I work a Saturday now, I get paid $31.25 an hour to do so... because I’m one of those awful selfish women working a man’s job, taking it away from a man who needs it to support his “proper” stay at home

I was at work, but DID shut down an idiot coworker who wanted to say that the march was damaging because of “all the businesses that had to shut down” and the “damage to the infrastructure.” No businesses shut down and our city has about three marches a month—they are totally handled.

Really good! He had spinal surgery to remove a bulging disc right before Christmas, and after a month of recovery he’s basically back to his old self. He’s still on limited exercise (short walks, no running, etc.) for a few more weeks, but he’s off crate rest as of last Monday, and he’s super happy about it.

Sorry you were not able to join us! I am healthy single and childless so I always think that I am there but representing so many more who can’t be there.

Sorry you couldn’t go. My partner and I went to our local march in Walnut Creek. Fantastic turnout and the energy was so positive. Musical groups played along the way, and one highlight was a group of high school boys in a brass ensemble playing “As the Saints Go Marching In”.

I was met by a cop, holding a gun to my face...I was asked to step outside, put my hands behind my back, and was handcuffed.
