I completely agree. But as we watch Ridley in mid-flight, sailing over a shark… a simple, scary, back-to-basics Alien film seems to be the last thing on his mind. He's too busy dragging us to visit 'God' in these movies now. Like a mother dragging a child through a mall to have a haircut.

Yes. But as time passes, and TFA's lack of any real legacy becomes more apparent. They are now really highlighting the fact that it was just a soft-reboot of Star Wars, created for babies and the people of China. An enjoyable film on face value - but the same film we saw in 1977, beat for beat. And they look into why
