TechCrunch are apparently reporting that signing up for Equifax’s credit monitoring requires waiving the right to sue. If one wants to avoid waiving that right, can ones’ credit be protected effectively through using services like Credit Karma and the like?
I can’t believe they wouldn’t even directly admit it if your information is compromised. How fucking confusing.
HOORAY FOR THE INTERNET! I love new ways people with nothing better to do can fuck up your life. Whatever happened to slapping bologna on someone’s car, or simply getting mugged as you walk home at 10pm?
If you’re citing a text maybe, but when you’re talking about an a person, basically any professional writing style guide would stipulate that you use their full name (with or without an honorific) on the first mention and then their surname with an honorific from that point onward.
What is more respectful of America than exercising your civil rights in support of others’ civil rights? That’s the most American thing I’ve ever heard of.
Maybe your America isn’t the same as mine?
Sure. You don’t like something, you point out its flaws and fix it and make it better. That’s real patriotism. Getting your hands dirty and airing out the dirty laundry. Sitting back with blinders on and blindly believing the USA is “the greatest country on Earth” is not patriotism.
That’s right, guys. Circle the motherfucking wagons. Whatever happens, do NOT acknowledge the idea that maybe, just maybe, every now and then, an officer or two can overstep their boundaries, get a little power-mad, and righteously fuck over a member of the public. Nope. Impossible. Every single fucking action a cop…
I love (which is to say, I don’t love) that Mr. Grammas’s logic is basically “because the officers were minorities themselves, there’s no way they could have participated in a racist act.” It (conveniently) ignores the bigger issue at play: the police is a racist institution. It’s structural, not individual, and…
So wait...you’re telling me Michael Bennett had the audacity to run away and hide when he thought there was an active shooter in the area? If only he had followed the standard law enforcement advice on what to do if there’s an active shooter.
Interesting detail or trivial detail? They repeatedly refer to him as “Bennett.” Never “Mr. Bennett,” which in a formal letter like this is trying to be, would be appropriate.
Ah yes, the classic “if you aren’t personally working tirelessly to change something you can’t complain about it” fallacy.
Sweet monkey Jesus. And people wonder how Trump got elected.
I’ve noticed that the dickholes who would argue “All he had to do was shut up and cooperate with the cops!!!!” are the same ones who will rant and rave for an hour about the asshole cop who dared to write them a ticket for talking on a cell phone while driving. Not because they WEREN’T on the phone, but because…
We believe some people without any evidence, and don’t believe others without all the evidence in the world.
If only there was a nonviolent way for NFL players to peacefully protest what’s happening to minorities in America in a way that would garner mass media attention.
Michael Jackson didn’t just sit around, being black all the time, and he was beloved the world over.
If he didn’t run while being black this wouldn’t have been an issue. While we’re at it, why did he choose to be black anyway? He should take some responsibility for his actions.
Not buying it either. I don’t go on vacations when I’m miserable or come out and oppose a bill that will further disenfranchise the middle class. Let’s switch places if you’re so miserable, Ivanka.
i don’t buy they are truly miserable. Did you see their golf pics from vacay?
