Firstly, check if your MPEG2 HW decoding keys are correctly inserted into the config.txt. The raspberry pi has a turbo mode that overclocks the cpu, gpu and ram. Google about it.

For gods sake, can't you guys install some basic spam blocking on this website? Those spam messages are getting quite annoying, especially now that they have learnt about the html bold text tag!

I know this may be of dubious legality, but what I used to do to circumvent licence checks for Amazon apps is to use Lucky Patcher. It can remove the licence checks, which means you can uninstall the amazon app store or freeze it using titanium backup. I find that doing this also improves battery life.
