I've actually got a book on the making of Stallone's Dredd. It's kind of amazing to see the insane amount of detail that went into adapting the comics' world into a relatively faithful film version.

Texas. Land of love, acceptance, and understanding.

Jesus, Travolta.

It's actually a pretty valid concern. I worked as a ski patroller for several seasons; I still ski, plus I run and referee for roller derby. As a result, my legs are pretty out of proportion with my waist.

Hipster Quicksilver. The worst of Pietro's alternate universe incarnations.

Meant to say "retconned out of existence." Typing posts on my iPhone once again proves tricky.

Coulton obtained a license and composed a totally new arrangement (plus added original lyrics) that were straight up copied in Glee. Glee apparently received permission from Sir Mix-a-Lot for the original lyrics, according to the other articles on the web, but didn't consult Coulton for his additional lyrics or melody.

Glad to see my Scout council is leading the reform charge. 212 was actually just a few miles down the road from us, and none of my local troops were happy with the BSA being anti-gay.
