Intent is irrelevant. By using a term used to describe a group of marginalized people (of which I am a member) of anything that they dislike or think is bad is inherently homophobic. There’s no way getting around that.

Some data for those interested. Michael basically went from a Category 2 to a Cat 5 in about 24 hours while crossing the Gulf:
Storms coming from the Gulf are some of the real dangerous ones because the water is shallow and usually warm which lets storms gather strength considerably. That’s what happened with Michael, which I think caught a lot of people off-guard with how fast it gathered strength.
Oh it will probably get worse. September is usually the busiest month for storms. Even right now aside from Ida they are tracking two other systems that will likely form storms with another depression/wave already forecast to emerge off Africa next week:

Not sure when I’ll get my physical backer copy of Psychonauts 2, but I’m stoked for No More Heroes III this Friday! I literally just finished Travis Strikes Again a little while ago after replaying the rest of the series over the last 2-ish weeks. Gimme!
Regardless, I am really excited that No More Heroes 3 is coming out next week!! I’m replaying the series in anticipation...so far I’ve finishes the Switch version of NMH, then played Heroes’ Paradise, and I’m almost finished with NMH2 (Switch also). Pretty sure I can finish Travis Strikes Again before next Friday.
I bought Hades on Switch because of all the word-of-mouth around it and LOVED it so I’m picking up a PS5 copy this week so I can play it, again, in glorious 4K! So good.

I never said it was unique, just that one particular year it was so bad people started throwing around the “PAX Pox” name, which got a lot of use at our store since it was only a few blocks from the convention center downtown.
I’ve attended many, but I agree the convention just isn’t what it used to be (not to mention it becoming impossible to get passes) and the last one I attended was pretty disappointing.
I remember one year at PAX (when there was still only one) a ton of people got sick because of how many people were packed into the convention center. Touching all the same things, breathing the same air, you know—I had to work my job at a GameStop nearby so I didn’t go—but I remember the term “PAX Pox” was quickly…

I absolutely would have bought a Scirocco R over my Golf R if they had sold it here in the States (yes I know the Scirocco was FWD, but I don’t care). It’s just one sexy hatchback and I love it. I think I kinda like the pre-refresh slightly more, but both are lust-worthy to me.
