That is HORRIFYING. I guarantee you the staff did not find his phone calls amusing and I’m genuinely surprised he wasn’t 86'd.

“Reminder: Crazy Taxi Is Still A Thing And It’s Still Amazing”
It’s like I’ve stumbled into some shitty alternate reality where Crazy Taxi is some weird Flash game.
We had ADAM until 93, when we upgraded to a spiffy new 486.
My version of this article reads “Drug Wars on a TI-82 is still a thing and still amazing”
I think the author might not have been aware of the original, much like how many of us commenters were unaware of this ripoff version.
Wait a second. We’re like, really getting old? This was our Crazy Taxi:
I thought the same thing. I’ve never felt older or poorer than I did when reading that line. My grade school had a “computer lab” full of these:
That’s not Crazy Taxi
I am relieved to hear this. (Since I won’t be renting it.)
Yes, but what do you do after your retire from the Marines?
The training to be a Marine is way harder than the training to be a cop. They pick the low hanging fruit.
Thanks- was looking to see if someone else made this point.
It should be obvious that it should be a giant red warning sign to even tolerate a minority of officers who think this way.
Using a skull as a logo for a government run entity...nothing wrong with that...oh yeah...
I’d say this is a good indicator of why there’s so much trouble in US regarding the police: many cops see themselves as The Punisher. And you don’t need very many to have this attitude for it to be a huge problem. Having the department, the City and the State actively encouraging this attitude is very bad.
Counter-counterpoint: No matter how many people the Punisher murdered, he never killed innocent people. The police are tarnishing his image.
The police chief said that he thought it was just a “warrior logo”. Like that is supposed to make it better. The cops aren’t supposed to be warriors, that’s what the military is for. Maybe he should be looking for a guardian logo.
Sadly, yes. Because, really, even if this spokesman were absolutely right that the emblem is just a “warrior logo,” who the fuck thinks cops should be “warriors?”
Counterpoint: Considering what the police in the U.S. have become, a murderer’s skull icon is entirely appropriate.
