That’s the mindset I’m in, they probably didn’t maintenance their equipment leading to these failures in their electrical system. PG&E couldn’t be bothered to replace wire hooks that eventually corroded away, Hawaiian Electrical Company couldn’t be bother to do the same too.

Utilities are a public good and should be controlled by the state and not by for-profit companies. Repairs and maintenance are not profitable so they don’t happen unless necessitated by profit seeking.
