It was a small part, but I love Jerry Stiller in this too!

I vaguely remember a car dealer show where they had some kind of “most beat up/terrible trade in wins $100" kind of contest and a manual Aerostar won.  King of Cars maybe?

great point

It’s frustrating too since “SR5" used to be a solid way to show a sportier model for them (super - responsive 5 speed).  I’d MUCH rather have SR5 badges than TRD badges!

That’s a great point and I didn’t notice CA specific. Thanks for pointing out.

Agree. Incentive followers and/or those who didn’t full understand the limitations (or extra expense/work of getting chargers at their house). Or they were in an area that just under-delivered on a charging network.

It’s a bummer this will now become a talking point impeding progress of “lots of people tried it and

Came for this.  Am happy.  The Naked Gun is such an excellent movie.

Agree.  Funny name.  Moe calling it out.  Then the guy running off. Then Barney.  They managed 4 funny little moments, each building off/escalating.  Just sheer brilliance in like a 20 second, almost throw away scene.

oh, that’s the worst name I ever heard

[Barney yelling “Joey Jo Jo” after he runs out....just classic simpsons *chefs kiss*]

Yah, that’s the smart money.  It’ll be interesting to see what kind of ties Ferrari keeps (as well as MSC) if that ends up being the case.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens after this year. His $$$ will keep him around through this season. Is it enough next year? Will his dad have to buy the whole team to keep him? Will he instead buy an Indycar team to give him a good spot?

Parents bought new and I keep it now: 1984 Toyota Van LE 5MT. 85 horsepower! Those lucky folks who bought an 86-89 Van got a whopping 95hp out of the 4YEC engine (84-85 had the 3YEC).

I can’t imagine how dog slow that thing would be with an automatic, people on board, and the dual AC running :)

I hope this holds. Lots of cases where seemingly “simple” things are kept out of certain markets. The non-Si Civic may lose a manual in the US, but you’re 100% right: rest of world keeps it.

Yup - I worded it poorly.  My expectation is the Si comes out with a 6MT and then hopefully that prompts non-Si models to get the 6MT as well.

He’ll just roll down to Cuyahoga Falls

I break out “I drive a Dodge Stratus!” a lot.  Unfortunately as we’ve gotten further away from the sketch and there are no more Dodge Stratuses, it doesn’t always land :(

Yup! I’m from the town right next to Stow and we get a lot of casual racism up here. It’s a lot more hush hush behind the scenes stuff (no confederate flags or whatever), but this being in Stow doesn’t surprise me.

Southern Ohio is basically northern Kentucky, so you unsurprisingly get some of that same mentality.

Yah - I worded that poorly. I’m hoping the arrival of an Si will get the 6MT available on the non-Si models. I thought that was what happened on the current gen.
And as for the Si, I pray Honda sticks with a 6MT there. If not, then, I think, this is the end of manual Hondas in the US. That would be a huge event.

I’m hoping the Si at least gets a 6MT.  If memory serves, the current gen didn’t have a manual until the Si launched a year later, and then they added it?  That may be incorrect, though.

I’m not gonna play with fire here and try to post a pic, but the Toyota Van 4x4 from 86-89 did this better :)
