Just need one of these.  Problem solved.

More space lasers! Really! If one is ahead of the space junk in the same orbit and direction, then fires the laser at the junk at the right angle, the junk can heat up, and any atmospheric drag will slow it a bit. The photon pressure can also help a bit.

Saying “this thing happened more often than it normally does one time, so it has to be a trend” is bad science,... we have to look at a trend over a longer period. The ISS does maneuvers like this once or twice a year and always has. They would be firing the thrusters for orbital maintenance otherwise.

You’re getting your wish. There is a microphone as part of the SuperCam instrument package on the Perseverance rover headed to Mars and Jezero Crater right now.

*slow clap*

It’s actually not, and I hope the show has recognized this flaw.

It’s never been “Han shot first,” goddammit.

As a contributor to the old EU, with a Wookiepedia entry and everything, I’d just like to say...

I know.  Everyone was straight up BITCHIN about Tauntauns going up against probe droids and AT-ATs.  Oh wait, they weren’t.

Torchwood was the production code name for the 1st season of the comeback.

I’m not sure “retweets aren’t endorsements [of assassination]” is going to fly when your job is carrying a gun and telling people what they can and can’t do.

Yeah, I can’t get past seeing Tom Hanks. He’s a great actor, but I feel like an unknown might have had a better shot here. Fred Rogers had a core humility that I’m not convinced I’ll get from such a big name. I wasn’t feeling it here.

Loved it so much, I put it on my body permanently

We’re working on making aircurv from 100% recycled single-use water bottles. We hope to be there by the end of the year.

How dare you besmirch duct tape!

The near-elimination of epidemic diseases by mass vaccination was one of the greatest achievements of the twentieth century. Landing on the moon and splitting the atom almost pale in comparison to the great good done by this public health effort.

Remembering how much I loved it as a kid, I bought my cousin’s boys a Contrux set for their birthday, and they loved it.

I loved the toy Jetfire because it was just a Robotech Veritech fighter and I LOVED Robotech. The toy I loved was the Scott Bernard Cyclone.

The ones I can think of are all G1 Transformers from when I was a kid. My top three that I had were Megatron, Shockwave, but most especially, Jetfire...
