COBRAAAAAAA!
COBRAAAAAAA!
It seems to me that the only thing this "smart" watch does is save you the trouble of taking your phone out of your pocket. It's the 21st century version of the calculator watch. No thanks.
Just $70? I would have guessed half the price. No thanks.
People don't like using Bluetooth headsets because we look like we're talking to ourselves like a crazy person. Now we're expected to act like we're holding an imaginary phone?!? Is pulling your phone out of your pocket really that hard?
Been there, done that.
You know what would be nice? A "My Files" button right here, ala iDisk or Dropbox. I'd use it a hell of a lot more if they brought back the file hosting "virtual folder" function.
Actually, the surprising thing is that they're still putting on World's Fairs. South Korea had one last year, and there's one in Milan in 2015 and another in Kazakhstan in 2017.
Gotcha. I suppose one forgets the amount of design and technology involved when it comes to sporting equipment.
No offense, but what does this have to do with gizmos? Those helmets come with Google Glass or something?
Using this as a phone reminds me of using this as a calculator:
I don't buy it. That would go against the fundamental theme of the book- that the core of these characters cannot be broken. Gordon at his core is a good cop- it is so fundamental to his character that he wants Batman to bring the Joker in "by the book", despite the fact that the Joker crippled his daughter and…
He didn't write "an Light Emitting Diode Lamp." He wrote "an El-Ee-Dee lamp".
True, but Apple has built a reputation on building entirely new technology from scratch and have them work relatively flawlessly from day one. Apple's products have always been more expensive than their competitors, and the reason people pay more is because they expect excellence.
Yeah, but he's talking about the post-NeXT era of Apple. The Newton happened largely during Jobs' absence.
My biggest problem with Apple Maps has to do with the fact that the maps are often just wrong, and no one seems to do anything about it. There's a road in my town- a US highway no less, that opened a new parkway last December- a move that completely changed traffic in the area. Google Maps updated their maps within…
Seen this before:
It never actually occurred to me that they used undersea cables for this sort of thing. I always imagined it to be via satellite or something. Undersea cables? How very steampunk.
It should be noted that this only works if you are actually on YouTube. It doesn't work for YouTube videos embedded into other sites (although it wouldn't surprise me if there was a setting for embedded videos that made it happen). Still cool, though.
That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for clearing it up.
