Gee, if it was just some extra cash, why is Uber offering its drivers a Power Driver Reward Bonus of $500 for driving 120 trips a week. That sounds like full time work to me.
Well, in the case of Uber, they are not considered employees. They get no minimum wage, no overtime, no paid vacation, no benefits, they pay 100% of the expenses of operating the vehicle, and get absolutely no say whatsoever in the price you pay.
