As others have pointed out, soldiers don’t have unions because the public’s ability to exert complete and undivided control over the people we entrust with wielding state-sanctioned violence cannot be usurped without tyranny.

Pilots have a union, but I am pretty sure that their union doesn’t defend them when they endanger lives.

I’m so confused by the response. So the issue about adding a black moderator is the messages about the racism experienced by non-Black minorities? I mean couldn’t they then have just also appointed an Asian-American moderator in addition to an African-American moderator? There can be more than one minority…

I’m from Walnut Creek and I believe that’s Contra Costa County SWAT.  Not that it’s any better.  I’ve had good interaction with WCPD but I’m also not black.  

Walnut Creek is so overrun with private security goons and patrols they don’t even need police.

I live near there and worked in Walnut Creek for a few years. No, there is no conceivable reason they should have that machine.
