Seriously. After 2016 I shut off news alerts on my phone and I kept my TV off during Election Day this year. I have friends who work in journalism covering politics and I cannot fathom in any way how they stay sane.

I think the easier solution is to serve with a side cup of marinara for dipping/spreading?

Tanya has the assistant she both wants and deserves. She craves drama too much and is too crazy for an assistant who is professional as that person would also maintain appropriate boundaries. Like, a more experienced person would have said “I’ll find a nearby hotel and will remain in walking distance and completely

Busty??? When they showed Daphne and Harper side by side in their bikinis, Daphne is at best a little larger than Harper. They’ve definitely dressed her to maximize her assets but she by no means has a porn star body. Lucia on the other hand. . .

WHAT??? OK, mind blown for today. I actually looked on IMDB and they did not provide the age for the actor playing Aemond, I would never have believed in a second that he was 7 years younger.

To which she could reply, “It’s only fun until someone loses an eye!” ;-)

I’m curious, did they ever show how things netted out with Rhaenys and Corlys in the books? Because I found their convo on the show literally unbelievable. They quickly decide to back a couple that is responsible for the death of their brother and son, for all they know, while Corlys talks about spending time with his

I was thinking more about the contrasts between Succession and HOD today, and I think the real difference is how character-driven Succession is. While I’m sure some folks will disagree, for me personally I feel the characters on Succession always act in a way that is true to who they are, and that their characters are

Also wouldn’t Harrenhall be owned by Larys at this point, who would likely have a problem with Rhaenyra taking it over???

I haven’t read the books but can tell next season is going to be all battles, all the time. This season was the equivalent of the first quarter of backstory for an action movie; I actually like all this stuff but then again my favorite HBO show is Succession. I can certainly imagine this bores many folks.

The fact that Aemond looks 35 while his older brother seems to be around 20 is particularly jarring. I wonder if Aegon is going to be recast again before the next season.

In the Aegon/Aegon sitcom, Arryk and Erryk definitely need to be the sidekicks!

Suuuure let’s compare yelling at a waiter to alleged sexual assault of minors. If McNally’s account is correct Corden certainly did not behave well, but he didn’t break any laws or damage anyone for life either. In the grand scheme of the many things we’ve heard of celebrities doing these days, this really isn’t much.

It will stand unless he appeals that specific judgment and wins, which is by no means likely. First, it was based on an arbitration and he may have waived certain rights as part of his contract with Netflix, making it difficult to appeal further. Secondly, that lawsuit was related to acts on the set of the show that

Really not at all the same. The Dunham issue is all about bodyshaming while the Daemon issue is about the character. Dunham’s character in Girls was kind of annoying but she certainly didn’t commit any savage murders or attempt to have sex with a close relative who was a minor.

Completely have no idea if the nanny made all of this up, but if she did she certainly is creative. There is something about freaking out about a special salad dressing that is just. . . chef’s kiss. Maybe some crazy ex did this to her once?

There’s a certain amount of “power corrupts” here. I think we all know rich kids who were overly spoiled and effectively become sociopaths, believing they are better than other people and that no one matters except them. Now imagine being bred to be king in a world obsessed with bloodlines. Without some really great

I do think the dinner also played an important role, reminding both women of the good relationship they used to have. However, their children have clearly been raised to hate or at least resent each other since birth (which very much includes resentment between Alicent’s own children) and any peace the two mothers

Part of the issue is that the series is setting up a conflict that is going to last presumably for several seasons. A simple battle of good vs. evil could get a little boring, plus if Alicent is positioned as being a monster that would encourage everyone to overlook a ton of bad behavior from Daemon/Rhaenyra.

Many articles at the time stated that Crazy Rich Asians had the highest level of Asian representation seen since Joy Luck Club 25 years prior. Here’s one example:  https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/09/movies/joy-luck-club-crazy-rich-asians.html I definitely would not compare Crazy Rich Asians to a movie with a non-Asian
