There was potentially an option to do a more positive campaign around helping/promoting the community. For example, I’m no romcom person myself but I made sure to see Crazy Rich Asians opening weekend because I’m Asian and knew it was the first major studio picture with a majority Asian cast in over 20 years.

There’s undoubtedly a mix of reasons. In my mini-sample of 3 gay friends I happened to speak to over the weekend, one saw it, one will watch anything Marvel/scifi but has never seen a romcom that I know of and had no plans to watch, and the third loves romances and the Hallmark channel but thinks Billy Eichner is too

Come on, one of the leads of Brokeback tragically died at a young age. No one is going to want to come off as making fun of Heath Ledger, huge potential downside for little to no upside.

Part of the problem is that people are so often wearing armor. I believe he had the full helmet on when he saw Rhaenrya when she was out with Daemon, and there was so much happening during the wedding fight I had no idea who took her out of the room.

They are also still talking about some damn secret for 10 years now yet we still don’t know how the Red we see on the show is really connected to Liz. It jumped the shark over to ridiculous at least 5 years ago.

Can someone, somewhere please explain to me why I appear to still be watching The Blacklist? It was so bad during the (spoiler, not that anyone cares) Liz dies season that I just read recaps but I crawled back and have been slowly working my way through the current season, which then proceeded to endlessly show

Well, he’s already set up to be Starfox/Eros based on Eternals, so that’s not nothing. And a smaller, preferably light part in a big movie might be a better path for him.

“Serious roles” is the key point here. I saw Don’t Worry Darling and he just doesn’t seem up to that particular challenge. However, he comes across as very charming and does fine in the early scenes of the movie when he’s just playing house with Florence Pugh.

I saw it this weekend and trust me, it won’t be for this one ;-).

Other recaps have said that Alicent is likely jealous that she’s spent the last 10 years putting out for a decrepit old guy and washing his sores while Rhaenrya gets to sleep with whomever she wants and eventually be the ruler as well. Alicent has also spent 10 years separated from her father, who is her only

I actually think they changed it because 1) tournaments are expensive; 2) they showed one this season already. and 3) throwing it into what was basically the rehearsal dinner allowed them to save quite a bit of screentime so they can keep pressing forward to battle scenes that I’m sure are on the way. Unfortunately

The challenge is that the producers (somewhat understandably) likely believe that viewers have limited interest in court intrigue so they can only have an episode or two go between major battles/bloodshed. So they’re speeding through all of this stuff which definitely is detrimental to character development.

That seemed much more straightforward though - the other guy repeatedly insulted that poor kid and drew his own weapon the second that kid took out his sword. Book folks also state that incident led to bad blood between those two houses for years. We obviously haven’t seen the outcome from the wedding incident but if

Does Cole have a higher position though? They keep emphasizing he is some nobody, and also is Dornish which is further looked down upon.

I also think it’s unfair to expect that absolutely every piece of content include every single demographic group in contemporary America. As a member of a group that’s often underrepresented in media myself (Asian-American), I think the real challenges are 1) stereotyping/negative portrayals of different groups and 2)

I think the real issue around how LGBTQ characters are treated in the GOT universe is that they are always second or third-tier. So their deaths often have little impact aside from how they might impact other (inevitably straight) characters. Given how much suffering and death there is in this world, you are 100%

Not only repetitive but expensive. It would make way more sense though than how they did it in this show. It looks like Laenor’s bf was unarmed - so it’s fine to just flat out murder someone in this society?

Well, I think the big issue is what each of them wanted. Littlefinger didn’t seem to need or want to be king (or have his heirs do it), he just wanted to be rich and to serve as the power behind the scenes - and if he could do so with Sansa at his disposal great, but he’d trade her for his own benefit if needed. Varys

Here’s a question for us non-book people out there: Is Otto Hightower more of a Littlefinger or a Varys? Basically, I’ve been trying to decide if he’s all out for himself and having his grandson become king, or if he’s more concerned that no one will accept a queen and he’s thus pushing to protect the realm via the

Yep, and a pretty ridiculous point nonetheless. As a veteran watcher of My 600lb Life, the folks out there who legit weigh 600 pounds are frequently bedridden. It would be pretty darn hard to find an actor anything close to that.
