Roethlisberger = suspended 4 games
What exactly would Dolphins players revolt about? That they aren’t good enough? “How dare upper management think I’m capable!”
The article doesn’t even really provide any (much) statistical evidence to back up the premise. Mostly it’s just quotes from guys who own training facilities who want more business and team execs that want to cut costs in the minors.
As a normal, educated person I was literally SHOCKED when reading an article written by Drew Magary at your site.
Don’t worry, you’ve still got Vontaze Burfict and Richie Incognito.
So where’s the line, then? Can one of the 3 best people in the world at their job actually punch their boss in the face? Can they threaten to rape a woman? Can they actually rape a woman?
Not quite. I’ve never brought a glove to a game as an adult. I may have been the heckler, though.
To build on your #6, if you try to catch a ball barehanded and miss, you’ll get a few good-natured heckles. If you (an adult) try to catch a ball with a glove and miss, you will get ridiculed mercilessly ... potentially on the Jumbotron and/or Sportscenter ... until you are forced to leave the stadium, humiliated.
“Oh, you’re a female doctor.”
The shift in-and-of-itself isn’t a problem, IMO, but the fact that it exists is emblematic of baseball’s “problem”. Fundamentally, the game is great. But I’m in the camp of the curmudgeons that it isn’t being played the right way. Baseball is most interesting when there’s movement: baserunners stealing and advancing…
I’m 94% certain these logos are all “create a franchise” options on Madden ‘12.
Still confused why other players who had to change their helmet over the past year were able to follow the rules laid out to them by the NFL, yet Brown couldn’t.
“We’re excited about where this franchise is headed”
FWIW, I saw a report on ESPN that suggested they kind of can. At least, a lot of the helmet is 3-D printed to the player’s specific measurements and preferences. I’m sure there are structural components that are based on engineering that can’t be changed.
why doesn’t he use the force to freeze Maul in place so Qui-gon can stab him? Or make him trip? Or pull his lightsaber away?
...haha...I actually went and read the Bloomberg article, and in the first sentence it describes them as “ad free”. I never noticed this before when I’ve accidentally clicked on one of their stories, so I went and looked more closely and I didn’t see any ads on their site.
The interesting (and troubling) thing in recouping that $100 million investment is that so much of their growth can be attributed to market and industry (sport) expansion. They can keep adding markets and adding new sports, but doing so increases operational and marketing expenses. They need organic growth in their…
Not all subscribers are going to subscribe for the full year ... in fact I would guess that -- for most subscription businesses -- MOST don’t. So you’re only getting partial-year subscriptions + discounted rates, etc. That leaves a lot more room for ad revenue.
Got married in July 2018. First incident in July 2018. Really short honeymoon.
