I’m not a comics junkie, but wasn’t the mantle of “Captain America” held by a number of individuals in the comics? Isn’t it possible that they have Anthony Mackie become the new Captain America?

I like the twist, too, but I always thought it shouldn’t have been paired with the powers of Extremis. What’s the point of creating misdirection around your control on the war on terrorism when you have an army of nearly indestructible warriors with super strength and can breathe fire?

I’ll give a stupid personal example. I hate dancing. At my wedding reception, the party formed a circle and people were going into the middle to show off their best moves. As the groom, guests were urging me to show off. I said no. But I was the groom and they pushed me into the circle. I responded by just walking out

I love the spirit of this advice, but the application you outlined is really bad ... and potentially dangerous. What you suggested is akin to having water stains appear on your ceiling ... and “solving” the problem by putting a fresh coat of paint over it. Yes, the stains disappear, but the underlying problem hasn’t

I think it’s two factors:

Nick Martin must live in an area without black people. Because if you go to a Bojangles around 11 a.m. on a Sunday in North Carolina, you would never say it’s Popeyes for white people.

The first INT looked like it might have been a good read, just significantly underthrown.

Albert is going in to overdrive overplaying the offenses of all of the other owners and underplaying this one!

I’m not making a value judgement here. You claimed that no sports owners had ever been pressured to sell like this. I think plenty of people have proven you wrong. You can say this is “just” a handjob and he didn’t know about the sex trafficking. But as a league owner, the worst thing for the NFL is the embarrassment

These reports are dramatically inflated.

Atlanta Hawks owner Bruce Levenson was pressured into selling the team in 2012 for sending a racist email. That wasn’t even a crime!

His deceased wife didn’t want him to give his heart to another woman, but she never said anything about his schlong.

Look, if you’re just worried about the rich getting richer, then let’s elect people who will put aggressive taxes on the super wealthy. I’m sure we can agree on that.

There’s no way an unrestrained market would have been good for small teams in the long run.

That was so nice of baseball to pre-emptively protect the small market clubs! What WAS happening was teams like the Pirates were spending aggressively on overslot spending in the draft. Would the Yankees have eventually taken that approach too? Maybe. But it wasn’t happening. Now — surprise surprise — you’re seeing

You may not hate small markets, but -- based on all of your comments in this thread -- it’s very clear that you don’t understand or sympathize with them.

Well, they’ve already heavily regulated the draft/signing international players to benefit smaller clubs but again I think we have to remember that we’re talking about relative terms here.

Why should no one see the Padres? They’ve now built a pretty interesting offense. If they can pick up a pitcher or two, they’ll compete -- especially in the NL West. Just because ESPN chooses to air the Yankees/Sawk all-the-fucking-time doesn’t mean SD doesn’t have a product to sell.

Your posts are normally really good, but this taek sucks.

I think AB is going to invite you to join his thinktank soon! Let’s get his thoughts on the Steelers fucking him while he fucks his next baby momma!
