Why does anyone ever return a kick? It’s got to be <10% odds of being better than the 25 yard line anymore.

Poor Aaron Rodgers. Before murdering his teammates, however, I recommend him speaking to a therapist ... or his family.

As a Steelers fan, I think Haley was actually really good for Ben Roethlisberger, who relied heavily on “extending plays”. Haley coached a lot of that out of Roethlisberger, who has seen his sack totals cut in half since Haley first joined the Steelers. Roethlisberger has become a more polished QB. It’s not really

Based on what I saw in Hard Knocks, I can’t imagine Gregg Williams would be too excited about reporting to Haley. And the defense is the actually working right now.

And don’t forget someone in the organization had the wisdom to trade their top WR and best big play guy.

I was looking for the right place in the thread to bring him up. He really should be on the top of this list. As a somewhat contemporary of exciting fighters like Tyson and Holyfield, Lewis was painfully boring ... yet pretty successful.

Yeah, even suggesting Shaq be on that list is forgetting the first 7-8 years of his career.

I can’t speak for you, but I don’t know a single person on my state’s lottery commission. You’re implying that the public is responsible for monitoring the legitimacy of the state lottery which seems ... ill-conceived.

At some point, he may get tired enough of losing and showing up for work that he’d accept 50 cents on the dollar to go back to his Hooters commercials.

Well, it also speaks to the need for the North Carolina legislature to work on amending laws to allow harsher sentences on people who hire hitmen.

Excellent. Then I’ll be a septuagenarian worth $2 billion.

Didn’t Richard Pryor make a movie about this?

With as big as Mega Millions is on Tuesday, I wonder if the annuity is the better way to go.

I don’t understand why states can’t require that you declare yourself to the lottery commission, but the commission is bound to an NDA to not release your name publicly.

This is from one of the local news stories linked:

Yeah, even though it’s not necessarily his “fault”, Kaepernick hasn’t thrown a pass in a year and a half. Would he really be able to step into a team with playoff aspirations and change their fortunes mid-season?

Or even give the pre-snap APPEARANCE of running the ball.

Given Deadspin’s support of people not showing up to work, I’m shocked that any stories ever get posted on this site.

how have the Steelers used him? Like a tube of toothpaste, squeezing every last drop out before being tossed aside.

The premise here is so flawed. First, you’re assuming that all of the 1st round QBs will be “productive”. Second, you’re assuming that “productive” is good. Andy Dalton and Alex Smith are productive. But I wouldn’t want either one to be my QB and I’d argue a team is actually worse off having a “productive” guy like
