I got propositioned by a 56-year old dude earlier this year. I was literally half his age (28). I was like... dude, you are easily old enough to be my father.

I find your side note fascinating.

That happened in my class, probably 6th grade. I think I was the only one who didn't know why it was funny.

To me, this seems weird and not at all consistent with my experience. Is this correlated with circumcision? I am not and I feel like I can always tell. If there's like any amount of engorgement, I'm quite aware of it.

I'm actually willing to go as low as the mid-80s, since I found a few friends and acquaintances that I would either be willing to date, or who I wasn't interested in but they are cool to hang out with who were like 86% or so match.

Good, so long as we are mostly on the same page. Because basically nobody on the internet seems to get this, and nearly everyone who has the privilege to engage in this sort of thing will do so gleefully.

Let's pretend she was a native speaker of English. Does that make it ok to make fun of her spelling and grammar? Is it still ok to make fun of her because her education sucks and she's maybe only semi-literate?

Language shaming like that is deeply classist and frequently racist. Just consider that.

This is the fantasy world I retreat into when I start getting overwhelmed. It's a magical place.

Probably because she's Polish and English is not her first language.

Yep. I was like... I already ate those nectarines like a month ago guys. Thanks for the warning I guess.

Even in the good communities you still get a lot of sexist comments if women are in any way involved in the video.. So it does kind of suck.

Hold up, do you seriously doubt that this person may be a therapist or counselor of some kind? It's not that extraordinary.

B-b-b-b-but if FEMALES are allowed to wear clothes, they could .... *gasp* ... participate in COMMERCE!!!

FEMALES?

All I can say is, yeah. I hate being told this, I've exactly the same experience and so have millions of others, cis or trans. Words do hurt.

Words that have been used as slurs don't have to be said in anger to make a person feel sick and ashamed. The people who think they are being positive and say "we shouldn't let

eat me

You are so far off it isn't even funny. This isn't about trying to not offend people. This is about not being an asshole. Trans people have asked that Ru Paul and others just not use slurs like that and gotten flippant answers like "it's not offensive".

This, from the same man who was rightly furious about another

On the first point, I'd noticed that too, they way Gilmartin seems to restrict transwomen to being straight. It certainly sounds like some of the people he describes may be trans.

I KNOW, I hate it so much. Also this sort of thing actually makes me really uncomfortable for some reason. Like, I can't scroll down any further while writing this, and there is still a picture on the screen and had to make the window smaller so I could block it out.

Same here, but if I go looking anywhere else, I see a surprising number of explicitly religious messages.
