I am 32, not a mom, and enjoy playing crap on my phone. I dug the first Peggle as a nice timewaster. I wouldn't say I am freaking out over the fact that a new Peggle will be released, but I think it is a little silly for people nowadays to assume that any game software released on a mobile device is for "casuals" and

I kind of loved it back in the day. I felt like I was using math magic all the time to do everything.

God, Gargoyle's Quest was the first Gameboy game I ever bought, and it was just brilliant. Blew my mind what the Gameboy could do. Once Final Fantasy Adventure came out, though, it was all over, and I have played the shit out of that game for years since.

as a side note here, System Shock 2 is actually a very good game for all the reasons he enumerated, and the fact that it is cheap is an easy way to get into an arguably "old game".

Just remember that Jefferson Davis said that slavery would be "a cornerstone" of his new confederate - read, treasonous - nation. So, yes, it is an indelible image from history, but it definitely is an inescapable symbol of racism.

"sicked" her dragons brings a completely different image to mind.

my favorite gameboy game bar none. that music is in my head all the time. the orchestral version of the score is just great!

Thanks for joining us! We like books, so be sure to come often and discuss them with us.

Lego in Latin means "I read" from legere. Unless there's a similar verb I'm not thinking of?

try Robin Hobb's Farseer stuff. Her characters are just great in those and you really feel for them as they are constantly shit upon

I am so jealous you beat me to this.

welcome back, Alasdair!

that just made me laugh so hard I almost spit out my coffee. one of the reasons it is impossible to comment over there...

You probably would. I teach this book to 7th graders, and they all get uncomfortable at certain parts. Reading again is fun to see what made you uncomfortable then vs. what makes you uncomfortable now.

Your articles were always able to make me laugh! I will miss your surrealist writing that was a bizarre amalgamation of all the movie, TV, and comic references I understand. Best of luck to you! I'm sure we'll all follow you so we can continue to read your writing.

absolutely. my wife competed and was a coach for years, though she knows next to nothing about dnd. i just sent it to her. im sure she'll send it on to her nerdier old students

This guy was obviously involved in Forensics and Debate some time in his career as a student. I kept looking for his little black binder!

my wife has played as the siren character in both games. She likes their tech trees the best. Has she tried those classes?

I thought so too, considering he is betrayed and all that. Though I guess you could have had a ton of people in the whole reversed-view-Judas position

I am agreeing simply to add my voice. Just amazing!
