I was wondering if it might be frost or fire giants (considering his marvel or mythological heritage)? Ymir or Surtur cameo? I got nothing after that.

my brother and I used to watch Robotech all the time and the theme music still gets me to this day. Also, when Roy died, it was the single most shocking moment of television in my young life. Maybe I also like Martin's Song of Ice and Fire b/c he regularly "kills Roy" in every damn book.

no need to be a jerk. I think this new movie looks like it has the same general plot as the movie "The Craft," wherein young people gain some kind of mysterious power, have fun with it and cause general mischief, then have a falling out over their powers, thus finding a need to solve the situation using those powers.

Can we just start calling "Chronicle" what it really is - "The Craft: For Boys"

I cannot agree more with you. I read the Farseer books when I was younger and have continually reread them throughout the years in order to relive that story and the way it may me feel when I was younger. Great stuff with a really interesting and (in my mind) tragic character for those first three books.

to be a nit-pick, the word rubric is used correctly here as a predetermined set of parameters used to evaluate a subject or topic.

This is one of the most endearing things I have seen in a while. What a dad!

maybe he could still kick ass (how could he not?), but be slightly impaired, thus requiring a young ward a la Carrie Kelly, etc. I just wonder sometimes where they can go with characters like these without simply treading the same water when it comes to story.

this is precisely how I envision this movie will be if they break his back

I imagine if they wanted to continue w/ movie continuity that states that Batman's back is broken, they could always use that as a vehicle to introduce someone like Nightwing or Robin or even Azrael, though I don't know if we could handle that 90s creation again.

For Yoda, I prefer "Do or do not, there is not try". I say this to my students all the time.

I have played all the games you mentioned for a ridiculous sum of hours, like you mention, and encountered soul-killing bugs in every one of them. New Vegas was the worst with so many horrible, hard-resetin' bugs in it that I rushed through to beat it just so I wouldn't have to go back to it. Loved the game, but it

I don't think you can kill off Theon as he and his family are pretty important to the story in later books.

check yesterday's spoilers. I believe Alasdair posted a link to a site that will do the very thing you ask. If it wasn't there, I know it was in an article yesterday!

That statement made me laugh pretty hard when I read it in the article.

the verb phrase should be "enamored of" not "enamored with"

ha! my wife says something similar. I must say that Logan's Run is a better movie for many other, more hilarious (Box), reasons, though it does feel like the longest movie ever.

loved the animation in those character models. for some reason it reminded me a lot of the art and animation for Breath of Fire 4. anyone else?

that short description of THX-1138 was more concise and entertaining than the entirety of the movie. Go figure.

that was incredibly awesome!
