I was in the AF too and still work on an AF base as a fed employee. It’s a great branch of the military.

As a 20 year old female with minimal knowledge of cars, I got ripped off at car repair places pretty frequently. I went in to complain about my battery dying all the time, they replaced the solenoid. It happened again and they replaced my starter. It happened again and whadya know? They replaced the battery. Fuckers.

Jesus, that story makes me want to hide in my closet and never come out. What a giant flaming asshole.

It pisses me off just reading about it.

gatorades’ mom story got me a little weepy. What a lovely tribute to his wonderful mother.

I worked with an older lady that took her car in for a whistling noise that was driving her crazy. Turns out one of her back windows was open just a crack. She wasn’t pleased when I laughed after she told me about it.

I can actually understand the cinnamon toast one. That’s toasted cinnamon bread, cinnamon toast is something completely different. I wouldn’t have turned my nose up at cinnamon bread when I was a kid but I might have bitched about the difference too.

Other than that, they’re all insane and I’m glad I never had children.

The customer was a flaming asshole but:

I was fortunate enough to be active duty at Beale AFB while the SR-71 was active and I got to take some photos in the boom operator’s area during a refueling. I also briefly knew Jack Veth, one of the pilots. Hubba hubba.

I’m glad she prays for the important things.
