The tack this guy takes in his piece is similar to one I’ve seen trotted out a lot over the past several months, that publicity and resulting social penalties (loss of jobs or earning potential) is somehow equivalent to a criminal prosecution. He uses words like “hearsay” and “prosecutorially” to describe a news story.
