That strikes me as stupid for multiple reasons, prime among them I thought that Abrams was doing the smart thing by not bringing in Khan and saving that for the final installment. One of the main reasons I didn't bother seeing it in theaters was because Khan wasn't supposed to be in it and now I'm sort of bewildered…

I'm assuming you mean by "twist" that his superhuman qualities were derived from a divine source? I agree that the Bible aspect isn't a twist unless you have no foreshadowing radar or firmly believe that it would be impossible for one copy to exist when it is one of the most widely printed works ever.

I am curious, what are the mechanical aspects of the failures? Some appear like corrupted CAD models or are being interpreted by the machine inccorectly, but others appear to be the result of the machine failing altogether. Anyone know why this is?

I'm new to MMO's and have recently started playing EVE, people seemed to take the outage pretty well (as in being supportive of CCP and not nerd raging). Is this usual for MMO's? I've always had the impression that most of these types of games player bases are volatile...
