Focus RS engine is actually a developement of the Mazda L engine... For years Ford used the NA version which is basically the twin of the Mazda L engines in the Focus Mk2/Mk3, Mondeo/Fusion etc... Ford later developed them into Ecoboost turbo engines ( 2.0 & 2.3 )

THIS. We have a Fiesta in our stable which is the best in it’s class in terms of handling and smiles per miles. It can go head to head with Mini Cooper in the twisties easily. The Mazda2 being the Fiesta’s twin, drives in similar fashion as the Fiesta.
