@mytdawg: Bear to crowd: Anybody got a slim jim...no, not that kind, they're inedible! Oh well, I guess we do this the hard way... #bears

Every day I drive past a body shop where somebody, the owner or an employee, has a Supreme of slightly later vintage—after they refreshed the sheet metal. It's pristine in its two-tone beige and brown, daily driven and for sale. Not my cup of tea, but I'm surprised he hasn't found a buyer. #1979

I remember one of the car mags describing this as looking like something fell on it, which pretty well sums it up. So the crusher can't really make it much worse. #1984

A used Impreza or Legacy, or possibly a new Suzuki SX-4. In other words, non-SUV/crossover AWD in a reasonably efficient package. #qotd

Nice price, only because it has the round headlights. What were they thinking with those stacked abominations?

@Novaload: Funny you should say that. I replaced my Chevette with a Horizon. And yes, it was better, though the ergonomics were laughable.

Definitely the red-headed stepchild of Ford's U.S. lineup at the time. I don't think I've seen one in the wild since...well...the Early Malaise Era.

If you must have an LCD screen in the middle of the dash, they seem be missing something really obvious here: angle it TOWARD the driver. Unless it's really there to show off to your passengers and other drivers. Naw, couldn't be.

M6, please (E24).

Looks like a shrunken Dodge Journey. I guess Daimler isn't done scraping the Chrysler off its shoes.

So, there's an Island of Dr. Moreau for cars?

@Ash78, leaving tomorrow: Ash, you embody what somebody here dubbed 'comment fu.' It's not just the brilliance, it's the speed. It will be less interesting without you. But congrats on the job, and best wishes.

Why stop here? Bungee cords, I say. So many more potential anchor points in the interior.

Ah, the rewards of pure amateur athletic competition.

@Mike the Dog: For some reason, I keep reading that as 'Redneck V-8,' which causes me to get all confused.

I imagine myself on the run from this, thinking 'big lumbering truck will never make it across...oh noes...'

So useful! When you're not driving it, you can slip it under that short leg that always makes the kitchen table wobbly.

Can't anyone proofread around here?

It really comes down to value for money. By far the most I've spent was about $29K for our '07 Pilot, which was our first brand new vehicle in 16 years. I was fully prepared to go used again, but comparing the Pilot with the alternatives for my needs, and adding in 0.9% financing at the time, the value was compelling.

Oh, come on, if you own a limo service in certain parts of the country, you'll make this investment back in no time. Nice price!
