This oozes so much nostalgia for me, I can't resist. I was 10 that year, and my interest in cars was ratcheting up. Those colonnade coupes were a bit of inspiration that the designers never quite fully realized, but still prettier than anything Ford was making at the time.

@akirachan: I imagine it would be a little like this to stall on the Pulaski Skyway in NJ. As the name suggests, it's a very long elevated road — with no shoulders to speak of. If I ever stalled on it, I think I'd hop the railing after kissing my car goodbye.

@LoganSix: The smartest drivers there are the ones hoofing it far, far away from their cars.

Driving while recovering from detached retina surgery. I can't even begin to describe the distortions in the affected eye, but start with ghost images of oncoming vehicles hanging approximately where the left side mirror falls in your field of vision.

This belongs on some studio lot for Hollywood's next '70s period piece—an authentic extra, maybe a suppporting player, but not a star. C'mon, not even an 8-track?

This is patina raised to an art form.

Save the ZAZ's!

Get lawn off my.

Legendary? Otherwise unattainable? Nice price.

Lose the little wheels, string a bunch of 'em together around a big wheel or something, and you've got an amusement park ride.

This is actually showing a coherent and distinctive design language, which some much bigger players seem to have lost. Good on Hyundai.

@PowerTryp forever Minardi: Reminds me of a TV spot for some lame '70s American subcompact, trying to compare it with 'Mr. D' and 'Mr. T,' represented by the kind of shameless ethnic stereotypes you could get away with 35 years ago.

That's a big honkin' reading light for the right rear passenger. Who knew they had such creature comforts?

That would be "Mulsanne." Transposed the l and s.

Those tires must be P-rated.

When I got to #20, it all made sense.

I dunno...the subtly updated shooting brake proportions have a certain charm. If the projected powertrain was less anemic and the quality was up to snuff, this could be kind of appealing. It does the retro thing in a less cloying way than the Mini Cooper, PT Cruiser, etc.
