"Good morning, Baron von Topham!" Tomas said cheerfully.

@Feds: Not kidding, I think that's actually where it plugs in.

Wow, that is pretty. Nevertheless, you might as well go down to the local pick-a-part, find the sorriest hulk on the lot, and plunk down your four grand. Sad, because now I want one.

I was behind a Mustang GT last night. The exhaust note is glorious from the outside, too.

Egregiously goofy name, but I feel the same way about this car after seeing it for the second time. It somehow captures and updates the vibe from some of the '70s Japanese coupes, in a good way. I still like it.

I don't get all the hate on the looks of this. There's not a line wasted here. I forgave them for the California while clicking through this gallery.

I don't know about SUVs, but back in my newspapering days, I was covering what passes for a wildfire in NJ, and the photographer talked me into taking my '88 Horizon down a fire road. Somehow I didn't get stuck, but I eventually ended up hoofing it. It was worthwhile for the ride I got on the Dodge 4WD forest fire rig.

All that trouble for something that tracks like a Malaise Nova.

I'm suspicious. Either the guy just didn't notice that big ol' shadow obscuring half the car, or this thing doesn't move as easily as advertised.

So that's what it looks like when you get rear-ended by a flying saucer.

Looks like some California styling cues, but with less Solara, which is a VERY good thing. Hard to judge in this fragmented form, but so far, I like it.

Needs more tailgunner.

@#6: There's a NUMMI Nova rotting in somebody's yard about a mile from my house. Pretty rare birds in NJ nowadays.

Apparently,crosswalk = U-turn lane.

And here I thought somebody had figured out how to drift their weedwhacker.

Not great, but better than that thing we saw a couple of weeks ago.

I'm going to reserve judgment until I see it sans camo, but a real wagon would be far better. I actually saw one last week, the first I'd seen in many moons. It was like some weird '80s time travel week; I also saw an immaculate Brat with T-top and a 323 turbo.

OK, Mr. Robber, you make these easy on Monday morning because we're all still clearing the cobwebs, right?

It would be interesting to try out those colors on some modern cars. Not everything needs to be irridescent metalflake whatever. Or maybe some of them do, to distract us from the ugliness.
